Early Christmas Present for Charlie

December 22 - Thursday. Christmas came early for Charlie this year. He has a new HP Pavilion Slimline computer with a 17 inch LCD monitor. This computer replaces a Compaq that was running Windows 98. With a new computer it did not make any sense to continue using dial up internet access. Today, we had Super-Net cable modem service installed. We are cruising in the fast lane now!! Nancy purchased a wireless router so now all the computers in the house can access the internet at the same time, you can even sit in another room with the laptop and surf the internet. We will still have our AOL e-mail addresses. Charlie, if you need some private lessons to learn how to use your new computer, Nancy will be happy to teach you. Merry Christmas honey - I LOVE YOU!!!

Wisp Ski Resort

Last weekend Keith and Natasha had a romantic getaway to Wisp Ski Resort in Western Maryland. They met at the Ski Lodge on Saturday morning and were quite anxious to hit the ski slopes for the first time this winter. They skied all afternoon - Natasha had lots of frustrating moments because she was not used to her new skis and she was trying to keep up with the expert skier, Keith, which was most of the time at the bottom of the mountain waiting on her to make her way down!! All in all they had a wonderful time skiing and the room they had for the night backed up to the ski resort, which really made their trip complete. The view above was from their bedroom window. Needless to say, they cannot wait to return to the slopes!!!

Happy 7th Birthday, Jackson!

Today is Jackson's 7th birthday. He took snack bags to school for all his classmates and had dinner w/mommy, daddy, Owen & nana & papa @ one of his favorite places to eat....Bob Evans!

When he got home, he played with his new Batman Laptop (which he thinks is really awesome) while daddy put together the new Military Helictoper toy Uncle Keith got. After daddy got some play time with it, Jackson dug in! He thinks it's very cool.

Thank you to everyone for making Jackson's birthday special.

'Tis the Season!

Jackson had his School Christmas Program last night. Nana & Papa were there to see him sing with his class. They even invited Smithie Alumni up to sing the last few songs and yes, mom made me go up!

When walking the dog......

December 1 - Thursday. Charlie and Nancy have really enjoyed Keith being home since Thanksgiving. Natasha went to her Grandma's in West Virginia for the holiday. All this week Keith and his Dad have been deer hunting at the Jordan farm in Savannah. There has been several shots taken, however, all the deer are still alive.
Today, when Nancy got home from work she took Piper out for a walk. Everything was going great, we had even gone further than Piper has ever allowed Nancy to walk her. However, when we was on Center Street almost home, a tiny little yappy dog charged across the street and scarred Piper. While trying to get Piper under control, she succeeded to slip her collar off and run away. To say the least, Nancy was beside herself. All she could think about was what if Piper darts into the road and gets hit or what if she can not get her to come back. Nancy did get her arms wrapped tightly around Piper and got the collar back on her. We got home safely and after telling Keith the story he promptly tightened her collar.
Keith and Natasha was going to meet at Wisp Lodge for the weekend. Charlie and Nancy are going to Piper sit for them. We will meet in West Virginia on Sunday to return Piper to them.
