The Ultimate Surprise!!

After 13 weeks of keeping a secret, Keith and Natasha are VERY excited to announce that they are going to be proud parents!! They found out in July and have been waiting to make the announcement until after the first trimester. Of course, Keith and Natasha told their parents first. The future grandparents are so excited to say the very least. Keith and Natasha are going for the "ultimate surprise", as they do not want to find out the sex of the baby. Yep, they know they will be getting lots of green and yellow; that is perfectly fine! There aren't many surprises in life these days, but little Baby Holt will be...

Attached is a picture of the little munchkin' - I know it looks like an alien, but if you look closely you can see the head on the left, little bitty arms and a tiny body. This was at 9 weeks, so Baby Holt is slightly bigger now - about the size of medium shrimp! Their due date is March 25, 2009! They just had their 13 week check-up; all is perfect - they got to listen to the heartbeat using a Doppler; both just giggled and looked at each other in amazement! Oh, what a miraculous experience....

Who's that Conehead?!?!?

Yep, that is Piper! Piper tore her ACL back in July chasing one of the neighbor's cats (a.k.a. Gus) up a tree. Keith and Natasha kept telling her that Gus was going to get her one day and sure enough he did! Keith and Natasha took her to Virginia Tech's Animal Hospital to have the surgery. She went into the hospital last Tuesday with surgery on Wednesday. She made it through the surgery well; however, she had a rough recovery. She was very whiney, to the point where Tech was probably glad to see her go!

Keith and Natasha picked her up on Thursday night - they didn't get much sleep because she was constantly up and down. She did much better as the weekend went on. She just has this huge cone on her head and is bumping into everything! She is also half shaved - check out the close-up! She looks very funny, but the good news is that her incision is healing nicely! Natasha thinks its funny to flick the cone or bang on it to mess with her - yeah, Keith not so much! None-the-less, poor girl has to wear it for about another 11 days! Keep her in your thoughts!!

A Good Samaritan

Keith and Natasha were heading down Rhea Ridge Drive last week when they noticed that one of their neighbor's was having trouble towing a broken down lawnmower. Natasha stopped the car while Keith jumped out to offer help. At first, it was quite a sight because the mower was tangled with the tractor. Eventually the tractor finally started towing the mower correctly and look who was on the back of the mower being used as a weight - fancy clothes and all!

Owen's hat

Owen ask Nana to make him a hat. He was very specific with what he wanted. Either pink and blue strip or black and only a certain length. Nana's first attempt did not meet the specifications, however, her second attempt appeared to be a keeper.

Budweiser Clydesdales arrive in Wooster

Charlie went to the Wayne County Fairgrounds today and was able to talk with some of the people that work with the team of horses.
The team will be at Cedar Point on Saturday. Charlie was told that Sunday is the teams day off.

The team will be returing to the Wayne County fairgrounds everyday after their other performances. They will be hitched on Monday, Tueaday and Wednesday during the fair.

Keeping the team looking pretty is a full time job.

Helping Hand

Bucca helped Charlie with some electrical wiring for new lights in the kitchen at Keith & Natasha's.
