BALLOONING

September 5 - Nancy was invited to fly in the hot air balloon with Shannon Rote. We launched from Smithville Park and after floating thru the air for 6 miles we landed safely. We passed to the North of Smithville Airport and Shannon took us to an altitude of 4,000ft. - that was a first for me.


September 10 - Pink Skies Over Ohio
This is an annual event with women hot air balloon pilots participate in a morning flight. This year they flew from Lake Milton located in North Eastern Ohio near Alliance. The picture on the right is what happens when a male tries to crash the event.
